Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is the guiding force behind most of the pro-poor welfare measures implemented by the UPA Government at the Centre. MNREGA, RTI are some of the example. The most important one implemented by the UPA-II is the historic Food Security Bill which ensures that no one in our country sleeps in hunger. Championed by Sonia Gandhi, this bill will make a great impact in the Indian Society in the days to come.
