Rahul Gandhi praises the move for Reservation for minorities

Highlighting that Congress (I) is inclusive party working for people irrespective of their caste or religion, Rahul Gandhi has said UPA government has introduced reservation for minorities so that everyone gets equal right to progress. UPA government has recently declared 4.5 per cent quota for Muslim minority community within 27 per cent quota for OBCs for reservations of jobs under government and educational institutions. He also highlighted that Sachhar Committee appointed by UPA government made recommendations for socio-economic improvement of Muslims.  The same have been successfully implemented but Mayawati government in UP failed to take any step ahead. During his campaigning Rahul Gandhi said, “Other political parties have done politics of division in Uttar Pradesh. One political party sold the name of Ram; then SP came and talked of one particular caste, followed by BSP, which talked of another caste. The Congress is different. We do not talk of any one caste or religion and believe in the politics of equality so that everyone gets equal rights.”
