Hitting back at those who while sitting in TV studios indulge in theoretical debates and criticise him for caring dalits and poor, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said there is need for change in Uttar Pradesh. The state has the highest number of population. It is the poorest state in terms of health care services. Unemployment has reached alarming situation necessitating the youth to leave under pain their hearths and homes in search of jobs in other states. Rahul Gandhi said Mayawati is running the most corrupt government in the state. Crime, extortions and rapes are rampant. People are fed up with the caste based votebank politics of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party for the last two decades. Mayawati does not know what is happening in the state or what the problems of the people are. It is only Rahul Gandhi who has reached out to dalits and poor in their houses to know their problems and share their concerns as to how to resolve those problems. No other leader has done this. Nor can this be done by sitting in a TV studio by entering into theoretical debates.
