Fight against corruption is Congress’ top priority

Blaming the opposition parties for only making hue and cry about corruption, Congress (I) has said fight against corruption is its top priority. The opposition parties raise this issue for only promoting their political objectives rather than for ending corruption. These parties have never taken any concrete steps towards eradicating corruption or black money. Recent example is BJP which did not support strong Lokpal Bill in the Parliament although it was leading anti-corruption movement throughout the last year. It confirmed that while Congress (I) is eager to tackle the menace of corruption, BJP is not interested to do so. Notwithstanding BJP back tracking on the strong Lokpal Bill, Congress (I) is determined to bring up the Bill again in the Parliament in the budget session.  “Congress (I) will not rest till the Lokpal Bill is passed and Lokpal accorded constitutional status,” said Rahul Gandhi.

Congress (I) only alternative in Uttar Pradesh

Lashing out against the governments of parties like BSP, SP and BJP for having failed to provide good governance and development in the state, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said  the people have now begun to realize that Congress (I) is the only alternative in the state.
Congress (I) policies are correct, programs productive and it is not hankering after power as these parties have been doing, said Rahul Gandhi while campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elations. BJP sought votes in the name of religion but forgot to give good governance.
Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Samajwadi party worked on caste basis which helped only 10% while 90% were left out.  Mayawati’s BSP turned out to the worst, said Rahul Gandhi.  It promoted 100% corruption and turned the government into a trading company where deals were fixed by brokers at the cost of the people of the state.
Now these parties are desperately in race with each other to offer freebies to people like a cow by BJP, a laptop by SP, reservations for anybody by BSP to get people’s votes.  But Congress (I) does not believe in such empty promises and assuring them only good governance and all round development, said Rahul Gandhi.
