About the outcome of the assembly elections the Congress President said “There are a number of issues which are to be discussed. As far as Punjab is concerned we did have had better hopes for Punjab. PPP actually damaged us (Congress) rather than damaging the Akalis in at least 23 seats. In Goa it is obvious that many voters were unhappy with us and voted against Congress.”
