Slamming at parties like BJP, BSP and SP for doing politics in the name of religion and caste, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has highlighted that Congress (I) does work for abolition of poverty and removal of backwardness. Congress (I) does not work of any caste or religion; it works for all the people to take the country forward, said Rahul Gandhi while campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elections. “I say poverty should be abolished and backwardness should be removed because this is the true meaning of politics. Politics does not mean filling pockets of ministers with money and not going to the villages to meet the people,” he added. “Garibi hatao” and “pichrapan hatao” is what Congress (I) is working for, Rahul Gandhi said. Highlighting that these parties work only for their own groups, Rahul Gandhi urged the people not to trust them anymore. The Congress General Secretary requested the people to vote this time for Congress (I) and promised that a government of the poor by Congress (I) would work for all the people without discrimination of caste or religion.
